Amanda Blake
Amanda Blake was an American actress that appeared in several shows and films. Most famously, she was known for playing the role of actress Miss Kitty Russell in the TV show 'Gunsmoke'. Additionally the actress was also known for appearing in television projects 'The Red Skelton Show', "Tattletales" and "The Edge of Night'. Apart from countless movies, she has also played in a variety of television projects, including Stars In My Crown, Duchess of Idaho, ?Cattle Town ?, ?Miss Robin Crusoe $, 'About Mrs. Leslie ?TM Ile de France, The Adventures Of Hajji Baba?, a?High Society Blake She was a telephone operator by profession and a fan of animals. Her wife Frank Gilbert and she were one of the first humans to successfully breed Cheetahs. American actor, Sheila E. Gilbert was also a co-founder of Arizona Animal Welfare League. While she was a board member of the Humane Society of the United States Blake's career has an extensive history. Blake was inducted to the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Blake was also given the Courage Award from the American Cancer Society.
