Andrea Elson
Andrea Hope Elson was an American actress. Elson was born in the United States and began in acting as child actress and model, before becoming a professional actress, is probably famous for her portrayal in the role of Alice Tyler as seen on CBS's science-fiction drama series. Andrea auditioned for, and won the role of Lynn Tanner of the ALF hit program (1986). Andrea was a regular on several popular TV shows, including Movies of the Day before taking a decision to end her career to focus on her kids. ALF came during a particularly difficult time to Andrea Elson, who played Lynn Tanner, the teenage daughter of Kate and Willie. The media reported in 2000 that she was struggling to develop as a woman before the audience of sitcoms. When she was in New York City in 1969 Elson grew up in a world of traveling because her father was a salesman who traveled. Andrea was already a resident of New York, Chicago San Diego, as well as Los Angeles before she turned 10. Andrea found an agent who was based in San Diego and won her audition to play the role she wanted for her debut. Fusco justified the statement in saying "ALF is 285 years old, which means he's mature enough to be able to consume beer." As ALF started to become increasingly popular, NBC said that Fusco would not be able to continue having ALF drinking alcohol with the kids. It was considered a bad image of a role of a model. Fusco believes that ALF did not have the maturity required to drink and drive, was wrong. In 1995, he was diagnosed with lymphoma. The treatment was successful and his cancer was in remission up until 2019. The illness took his life on 26 June, 2019, at 75 years old at the Lillian Booth Actors Home, Englewood NJ.
