Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian/American media critic who is also a speaking event organizer. She founded Feminist Frequency the website which includes videos and comments on the representation of women in pop culture. Anita Sarkeesian is an award-winning feminist journalist from Canada and a blogger. Feminist Frequency, a web-based resource to educate women about their role in the narratives of pop culture It is the brainchild of Anita Sarkeesian. The site also has the director of operations. Committed to destroying the stereotypes related to women in popular culture, she has also been working on issues related the targeted harassment women and others on the internet. Sarkeesian has a degree in the fields of social thought and political science at York University. She is an extremely well-respected and respected public speaker. Sarkeesian has given speeches at the TEDxWomen XOXO Fest and United Nations Broadband Working Group. Interested in issues concerning gender identity and feminism from an early age she launched her site Feminist Frequency in the year 2009 when she was she was still at university.
